I turned nine months today - September 30th, 2009.
I weighed 24 pounds (92nd percentile for boys - went up); I'm 29 inches tall (80th percentile - went down); and I'm 75th percentile for head circumference (stayed the same). No wonder one of my nicknames is "linebacker", even though I'm going to be a soccer player:-)
I'm doing lots of things: I've been crawling since I was 7 months; I stand with one hand holding on to something, and handsfree for up to 10 seconds; I "cruise" (walk while holding on to something); I've started eating "real" food (small pieces of oats, fruit, veggies, pasta, potato, ugali, chicken, etc.); I say "mama", "baba", "book"; I wave bye; I blow kisses (sorta:-); I have 8 teeth!; I dance (LOVE it); I sleep for 11 hours at night; I drink from a sippy cup; my favorite book is still "goodnight moon"; my second favorite book is "raha zambarau"; I LOVE my childcare center Cascade and all the teachers, especially Patti; I REALLY LOVE my special day with mama (Wednesdays); and I SUPER LOVE weekends - when baba, mama and I spend A LOT of time playing, reading, and hanging out. Mercer Island farmer's market on Sundays is my current favorite, and I get to ride in my new/used mini-car from Cascade!
Today was also special because it was/is my late uncle Mhelema's birthday. He would have been 31 years old. Keep watching over me, uncle, mwa!
